A former BMX racer turned BMX park specialist, 22-year-old Monster Energy pilot Scotty Cranmer is claimed to be the second coming of Dave Mirra. Second overall in both the 2007 Vans Triple Crown Series as well as the Dew Tour, Cranmer — also known as “the Bulldozer” — has an arsenal of A+ tricks in his quiver, and of which he can reach for at any given time.

Underline all of this with remarkable consistency, along with the fact he’s back and healthy from a gnarly foot injury that sidelined him in 2008, and you have a bike ripper with a genuine shot at the 2009 Dew Tour BMX Park Championship. Cranmer’s tasted gold as well in the X Games (’06 BMX Park) and silver twice (’05 & ’07). The Monster Army’s core BMX troops are expecting big things out of Cranmer for the 2009 competition season and the “new Park guy” on Monster Energy’s already loaded BMX roster would like nothing better than to step up and put his bike back up top on the podium – a familiar place for Cranmer in the past.
