David Philippaerts is one of the hardest chargers in the Monster Army motocross crew and holds the distinction of being the very first FIM Motocross World Champion while rocking the M-claw. The 26 year old Italian calls Milan his home and his uncompromising approach to Grand Prix racing sets him apart from the rest of the field.

The factory Yamaha representative delivered Monster Energy’s first MX world title in 2008, which was only his second in the class and his first on the fiery works YZ450FM. A former MX2 race winner, Philippaerts has scaled the top of the podium in each season since then and has not dropped out of the top four in the final world championship standings. Some of his unrelenting on-track battles with the likes of Antonio Cairoli, Clement Desalle and Steve Ramon had provided memorable race highlights over the past four years and Philippaerts will again be one of the title favorites for 2011; his fourth term as a premier Monster Energy athlete and racer.
