About Christophe

For Christophe Pourcel, the 2007 global racing season was the best of times and the worst of times. First, on Saturday night, January 13, 2007 in Chase Field in Arizona, the 2006 FIM MX2 Word Champion went out a Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki KX250F and won the main event. Later, that summer while competing in the Grand Prix of Northern Ireland, a brutal crash left him with a broken sacrum and a dislocated shoulder. Christophe would be out of action for upwards of eight months.

In 2009, Pourcel returned to the United States to race for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team, and to punctuate a brilliant and courageous comeback, won the AMA Lites East Region Supercross Championship. And Pourcel has not stopped since, running right at the front of the 2009 AMA 250 National Motocross Championship. Already a multi-time moto and overall event winner, Pourcel is considered by many insiders to be the number one threat for the 2009 AMA 250 No. 1 plate.
