A huge star in his home country of Poland, Krzysztof Hołowczyc has ripped it up on short stage rallies, as well as dominated the competition in some of the world’s toughest endurance races. Cutting his teeth in local races, Hołowczyc quickly made a name for himself by taking three Polish national rally titles and a European rally championship between 1995 and 1999.

Hołowczyc then turned his awesome talents to endurance racing. Success wasn’t far behind. In eight years, the Polish racer has won the Baja Poland twice, competed in eight Rally Dakar, won the Silk Way Rally and taken the top step in the FIA International Cup for Cross-Country-Bajas. Off-track Hołowczyc is a big rock and metal music fan, and has made regular TV appearances and cameos in music videos for Polish bands.

Shrugging off a massive accident in last year’s Dakar which temporarily put him in a wheelchair, Krzysztof Hołowczyc has already taken a podium in the 2013 Baja Italy, and set his sights on making the 2014 Dakar, the race with his name on the winner’s trophy.
